Installation — Common Questions
A standard wall split system installation typically takes 3–4 hours from start to full cleanup. Multi-splits or ducted systems require more time — usually a full day or more depending on the size and complexity. We'll give you a realistic timeframe during the quote visit so you can plan accordingly.
Most residential split systems require a dedicated 20A circuit. If one isn't already in place, our electrically-licensed technicians can run one from your switchboard as part of the installation. We'll assess this during the site visit and include any required electrical work in your quote.
Outdoor units should have adequate airflow, be positioned away from direct sun where possible, and meet any local council and strata requirements regarding noise and placement. We assess these factors during the site visit and recommend the best location. We also advise on pipe run lengths and any height restrictions.
Yes — all Toptech Air installations are covered by our workmanship warranty. This is separate from the manufacturer's product warranty and covers any faults arising from the installation work itself. If something is wrong with the way we installed it, we'll come back and fix it at no cost to you.
